TT Road Safety Advice

With TT Week fast approaching the Isle of Man Road Safety department have launched their annual campaign to encourage students to keep safe during this busy holiday.

They have issued the following advice:

Every year thousands of people visit our Island for the TT festival and because it’s such a special event, our roads will be very busy.

  • Stay alert when you are out and about this TT fortnight
  • Always find a safe place to meet with your friends
  • Avoid busy roads, especially roads close to the TT course

Stay safe when playing. . .

  • When playing on your skateboard or bike, look out for extra traffic, even if you live in a quiet area or estate
  • Please remember that it is not safe to ride or play near the busy roads, especially on roads close to the TT Course

Watching the races!

  • Always stay behind the barrier
  • Do not play near the TT circuit
  • Never try to distract the Racers
  • Always watch in a safe place, officially designated viewing areas are best

REMEMBER!

  • When you’re travelling in a car always use your seatbelt, and never distract the driver.
