Thought for the Day

All this week (Monday 7th – Friday 11th May), ‘Thought for the Day’ on Manx Radio for  will be given by St. Ninian’s students.

As St. Ninian’s High School is a Fairtrade School and currently has a team of staff and students participating in the Live Below the Line challenge  five students were invited to record their ‘thoughts’ around the themes of global poverty, the Live Below the Line campaign and Fairtrade at Manx Radio ready to be broadcast each day of the week beginning 7th May.

The students, Chris Killey (Y12), Tudor Baker (Y12), Robert Leece (Y10), Keith Kewley (Y13) and Chris Holmes (Y13), wrote everything they said themselves and conducted themselves professionally throughout the recordings at the studio last week. The teacher, Mrs Esther Hill, who co-ordinated the whole venture commented, ‘They were all stars! I am very proud to have worked with this group of outstanding students.’

You can either tune in to hear them live, at midnight or just before 7am each day, or listen again on the Manx Radio website.
